Economic Viability Program Intern

The Watershed Agricultural Council seeks an Economic Viability Program Intern/Temporary employee. The Intern will assist the Economic Viability Program with document archiving, Pure Catskills membership relations and support, content development for various electronic and print media, event coordination and setup, and creating outreach materials consistent with messaging of the Pure Catskills buy local campaign which will reinforce the positive impact being made in the region. The duration of this position will be approximately 10 weeks from late spring through the summer of 2018. The rate of pay will be $13.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. Must have a valid driver’s license. EOE. Deadline May 1, 2018.

Conservation Easement Program Intern

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking a Conservation Easement Program Intern/Temporary employee to work with the WAC Easement Program. The Easement Program Staff work with landowners in the NYC Watershed to acquire and uphold agricultural and forestry conservation easements (CE). This seasonal position will provide technical support to the WAC Easement Program including, but not limited to, significant Geographic Information Systems (GIS) work, recordkeeping and filing projects, data checking, data collection and ground truthing. This position will primarily involve office-related work, but may at times require field work in potentially adverse weather conditions. The desired candidate will be passionate about agricultural and/or forestland conservation, familiar and capable with ArcGIS, legal documentation (special preference to experience with CE’s), and possess excellent organizational and communication abilities. The duration of this position will be approximately 10 weeks from late spring through the summer of 2018. The rate of pay will be $13.50 per hour, 40 hours per week. GIS/Database Specialist

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking a GIS/Database Specialist. The GIS/Database Specialist will be responsible for managing all programmatic spatial and tabular data of the organization. Qualifications and requirements detailed in position description. Salary: $45,000 maximum. Agricultural Program Engineer

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking an Engineer for its Agricultural Program. The Engineer will serve as a program engineer to work cooperatively in the design and implementation of Agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) in the Watershed Agricultural Program (WAP) in the West of Hudson Watershed. Qualifications and requirements detailed in position description. Salary: approximately $65,000.
