Watershed Agricultural Program Internships (5 positions available)
Watershed Agricultural Council seeks five (5) Interns/Temporary employees to perform various duties as part of the Watershed Agricultural Program (WAP), serving farms within the NYC Watershed. Four (4) of the positions will be Nutrient Management soil samplers who will perform the duties of soil sampling and data collection. One (1) position will be a Technical Intern who will perform the duties of Best Management Practice (BMP) installation, repairs and inspections. Other duties will entail WFP monitoring, soils sampling and BMP data collection. These are 10-week summer positions that pay $14.20 per hour. Must have a dependable vehicle, insurance and a valid N.Y.S. driver’s license. Will be reimbursed for mileage incurred on the job. Watershed Forestry Educator – Seasonal
The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking to hire one Seasonal Watershed Forestry Educator. The seasonal Watershed Forestry Educator will primarily provide support for educator training programs associated with the WAC Forestry Program’s Urban-Rural Education Initiative. The secondary function for this position will be to provide support for forest landowner outreach, education, and stewardship programs within the NYC Watershed.
Compensation: $16.00/hour, 40 hours/week plus mileage reimbursement.
