 What you have
accomplished is not just a great example of how to create
a win-win partnership between agriculture and the environment,
or between upstate rural and downstate urban interests. It
is a marvelous example of why democracy is a good idea, of
why citizens and communities are things to be cherished, and
of why family farm communities are rightfully recognized as
particularly embodying those hopes and values.
