Economic Action Program

From 2000 – 2007, over $2.4 million in 80 grant awards directly impacted 58 small to medium-sized firms representing over 750 jobs within the local wood manufacturing sector. The grants helped companies retool, launch marketing campaigns, train new employees, and gain efficiencies. Award recipients provided a matching dollar for every dollar awarded to them, thereby doubling the federal investment. WAC documented over $3.2 million in matching funds yielding a total federal and local investment of $5.6 million during the 7-year program.
