fieldWAC funds research to provide a scientific foundation for determining the value of the agricultural Best Management Practices that protect water quality on farms participating in the Watershed Agricultural Program. The main focus of this research is to evaluate methods for reducing phosphorus loss and pathogen risks. Funding from New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the Safe Drinking Water Act is provided to a wide range of county, state and federal researchers.
