learn about water quality and the New York City Water Supply
system.

Fahnestock State Park, this small environmental education
center offers one to three day programs for schools. |

Clearpool Education Center is a residential
facility providing science based and adventure curriculum
to students from New York City and surrounding communities. |
A multi-use area run by the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation, you can explore a fire tower and hike through
many scenic trails.

Explore one of the six reservoirs
in the West-of-Hudson region or one of 13 in the East-of-Hudson
region. A spokesperson from the New York City Department
of Environmental Protection will explain how your water
is monitored to ensure it is safe. |

Programs include a farm visit and an experimental activity
to engage students in learning about the importance of ecological,
community-based farming. Programs are linked to the New York
State Learning Standards. They are open for school groups
on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. You can learn

Visit Rockerfeller State Park and
enjoy some of its many educational programs or just admire
the scenery. They offer programs in watershed studies as
well as history, as the park is home to a portion of the
remnents of the Old Croton Aqueduct. |
