Seasonal Forest Technician
The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking a Seasonal Forest Technician for the summer of 2012. The seasonal Forest Technician will provide field support for incentive programs offered to landowners and loggers who are eligible to benefit from WACs Forestry Programs.
Qualifications: B.S. or working towards degree in forestry, silviculture, ecology or related natural resources field.

Geographical Information System (GIS) Coordinator
The Watershed Agricultural Council, a non- profit organization working to protect the NYC Watershed while supporting farm and forest land uses, is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Coordinator to work in coordination with multi agency, self-directed specialized work teams to provide cartographic and analytical support to all program efforts. The GIS Coordinator is responsible for managing the GIS program, both hardware and software, data discovery, creation and maintenance, providing requested analysis and the training of system users. Experience with and knowledge of ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Server, geodatabase management and ArcSDE, and Versioning is mandatory.
Qualifications: Masters degree in GIS, Geography, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field, with specialization and/or certificate in GIS preferred; but will consider Bachelors degree and 3 years of professional GIS experience; Salary approx. $50,000 commensurate with experience. C#/.NET programming experience a plus but not required.
