Advisory Committee

Collaborations and partnerships are the foundation of the Watershed Agricultural Council’s success. Since the beginning, we’ve taken the teamwork approach. By enlisting the support of farmers, landowners and professionals, we’ve developed cooperative relationships that advance water quality and nurture the New York City watershed local economy.

Input from local, regional and state sources -- such as governments, nonprofits, funders, program participants and residents – the Council is able to address the needs of our downstream water consumers and watershed communities we serve through our programs and Payment for EcoServices opportunities.

Partner representatives frequently participate on

One such committee, the Advisory Committee, provides our staff with ideas, criticisms and direction that influence our Strategic Plan. With this input, the Council is currently updating our Strategic Plan to better reflect our future vision and mission. The Strategic Plan guides our organization in ways that best benefit clean drinking water and you, as a landowner or New York City water user.
