Easement Stewardship Specialist

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking an Easement Program Stewardship Specialist to assist in the stewardship of agricultural conservation easements designed to protect agricultural and forestry viability and water quality. East of Hudson Program Coordinator

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking an East of Hudson Program Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Agricultural Program in New York City’s Croton Watershed and will act as a chief liaison with the general public representing the agricultural program specific to water quality initiatives.  Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in agronomy, environmental science, agriculture, natural resource management, engineering or related disciplines; Minimum of two years of supervisory experience; Experience writing and managing grants and contract; as well as additional requirements further detailed in POSITION DESCRIPTION. Precision Feed Management Specialist

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking a Precision Feed Management Specialist. The Precision Feed Management Specialist will conduct Precision Feed planning on dairy and beef farms participating in the New York City Watershed Agricultural Program (NYCWAP). The individual will work one on one with participating farmers to develop Precision Feed Management plans. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with course work strength in dairy and field crop management and one year of relevant experience preferred; Must have or acquire New York/Northeast Certified Crop Advisor Certification and maintain Certified Education Units (CEUs) to keep current; American Society of Animal Science Professional Animal Scientist certification (or must be willing to obtain); as well as additional requirements further detailed in POSITION DESCRIPTION.
